Each round is one year, and you play through real market history: dotcom, the crash of 2008, the AI boom, crypto, all the way to 2026. You already know what happens. That is the whole trick.
Research is the cheat. You look up what actually went down and beat the leaderboard with it. Nobody stops you. You get rich either way. The interesting part is what comes after.

Recherche ist der Cheat. Du schlägst nach, was wirklich passiert ist, und schlägst damit die Bestenliste. Niemand hält dich auf. Reich wirst du sowieso. Interessant wird es erst danach.

Look it up. You are supposed to. Check what really happened in 1999 and buy right in hindsight. The leaderboard does not reward the brave. It rewards whoever did the reading first.
Anyone gets rich. Keeping it is the art
With today's knowledge any fool makes a fortune. The real question is how much survives once the tax office is done. German capital gains tax, the saver's allowance, holding periods, order fees: all really modeled. Every trade costs.
Beat the sloth
The sloth buys the index in 1988 and never moves again. No trades, no taxes, no nerves. Beating that boring line is harder than it looks. More often than not, the sloth wins.
A campaign of challenges
Free play for the leaderboard, plus a run of challenges. Ride the dotcom crash. Hold steady with a calm hand. Or play The Great Losing and destroy as much wealth as you possibly can. Losing is a sport too.

Das Faultier kauft 1988 den Index und rührt sich nie wieder. Keine Trades, keine Steuern, keine Nerven. Genau diese langweilige Linie zu schlagen ist schwerer, als es aussieht. Meistens gewinnt das Faultier.

Freies Spiel für die Bestenliste, dazu eine Reihe Challenges. Reite den Dotcom-Crash. Halt durch wie eine ruhige Hand. Oder spiel Das große Verlieren und vernichte so viel Vermögen wie irgend möglich. Verlieren ist auch ein Sport.
When the cheat is gone Wenn der Cheat weg ist
The whole game runs on hindsight. Forecast mode takes it away. For a few weeks at a time, everyone forecasts the same real market week. You lock your picks before the closing prices exist, so nobody can look anything up. There is no future to know yet.
Each week resolves on Sunday against what the market actually did, and your hit rate lands on a shared board next to everyone else's. Same engine, same taxes and fees, pointed at next week instead of 1999. Forecast runs as occasional live seasons, not around the clock. Between them, the time machine stays open.
Das ganze Spiel läuft auf Rückblick. Der Prognose-Modus nimmt ihn dir weg. Für ein paar Wochen am Stück prognostiziert jeder dieselbe echte Marktwoche. Du legst deine Picks fest, bevor die Schlusskurse existieren, also kann niemand etwas nachschlagen. Es gibt noch keine Zukunft, die man kennen könnte.
Jede Woche wird am Sonntag gegen das aufgelöst, was der Markt wirklich gemacht hat, und deine Trefferquote landet auf einem gemeinsamen Board neben allen anderen. Dieselbe Engine, dieselben Steuern und Gebühren, nur auf nächste Woche gerichtet statt auf 1999. Der Prognose-Modus läuft in einzelnen Live-Saisons, nicht rund um die Uhr. Dazwischen bleibt die Zeitmaschine offen.
At the end comes the humbling.
Real life has no time machine. So for the real you, the one without the cheat sheet, the boring line wins. The sloth that bought the index and went to sleep beats you, your taxes, and your nerves. That is not the consolation prize. That is the lesson.
